How does the above match with the "forecast" (based on hot air) of the Meteorological Department on 11 October, when the Prawit Jaempanya, director of the Meteorological Department, announced that "the current wet season will end about the middle of this month and a new storm being formed over the Philippines is not of concern."
“there will still be some rain … one or two days from now" and "the Meteorological Department is not concerned about a new storm forming over the Philippines because it will be weakened by a cold wind from China."

How wrong he was. MUCH more rain has fallen since, and the end is not in sight.
Why not be a bit more careful in your predictions?

It can rain as much as it likes in Bangkok now because today the Agriculture Minister Theera Wongsamut assured Bangkok residents living along the Chao Phraya River that the worst is over, as water peaked yesterday at 2.29 metres against the 2.5-metre flood barrier height. This is an assurance to Bangkok residents.
