Don Mueang airport taking evacuees

The Airports of Thailand has opened the unused international passenger terminal 2 at Don Mueang airport to flood evacuees from Nava Nakorn industrial estate, AoT board chairman Sumeth Phomanee said on Monday.

ACM Sumeth said he believed the building could accommodate about 3,000 evacuees.

Officials at Don Mueang airport had been instructed to keep a close watch on water levels at Nava Nakorn for fear it might also flood Rangsit or Zeer department store north of the airport.
