    Interesting but I think it is impossible for any outsider to judge what was and is really happening. Maybe Bout was paid a couple of million by another (American or whatever) agency to find rebels who want to buy weapons to fight America. Who knows?
    You write: The chief US drug enforcement agency agent said that the defendant is "one of the most dangerous men on the face of the earth” I guess some other most dangerous men are American agents and American sponsored and trained rebel groups all over the world.

    Perhaps. What about dictators and war mongers like the presidents of Syria, North Korea, Myanmar and the USA, to name but a few?
