China offers 'full fledged' support for G20 summit

China pledged "full fledged support" for next month's G20 leaders summit in France, as the deepening eurozone crisis threatens to tip the global economy back into recession.

French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe (L) is greeted by Wang Qishan (R), Chinese vice prime minister, ahead of their meeting at the Zhongnanhai in Beijing, on October 22. Juppe was in Beijing for a 'lightning visit' as a special envoy for French President Nicolas Sarkozy ahead of the G20 summit in Cannes, taking place on November 3 and 4.

Vice Premier Wang Qishan, China's top official on financial affairs, made the comments during a meeting with French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe, who stopped over in the Chinese capital on Saturday, following a visit to India.
