PM: Froc to remain at Don Mueang

The government's Flood Relief Operations Centre (Froc) will continue to operate from Don Mueang airport although the area has been flooded, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said on Wednesday.

Accommodation would be arranged inside airport buildings for Froc staff who could not return home due to the flood.

If it proves really necessary to relocate, the flood centre would move to another location in Bangkok, not to another province as some people speculated.

"On reports in the Chao Phraya river would overflow the 2.50m high flood dykes and spill into the city if it reached the predicted peak of 2.75m, Ms Yingluck said if this happened she would ask the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to drain water into the sea as quickly as possible." ... I knew it, there is a solution for EVERY problem!

I guess if FROC would move now then some people might think FROC did not foresee the possible flooding of Don Mueang. Probably now they work with half the staff in an half flooded building but at least they don’t loose face. TiT!

Asked about the bombings in Yala, the prime minister said she had order Deputy Prime Minister Kowit Wattana and Defence Minister Yutthasak Sasiprapa to travel to the area to see the situation.

What about the new guy she appointed over many objections-Pol Col Tawee-where has he gone.
