PM denies planning to go abroad

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday said she has no plan to travel to India next month to meet former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra as rumoured.

She was responding to a rumour that she would travel to India for a tod kathin ceremony during which she would meet her elder brother, former prime minister Thaksin.

She said her main concern is to help the people suffering from flooding, especially on Oct 31 when the high tide is expected to peak.

I would be happy to have my home ruined...

Anyone notice that this is just a report and there isn't a single quote in the article? YS may or may not have said what was reported.

D1: Khun fundeena, my same thought reading the report. People may take floodwater, but doubt they're glad about it.

Would like to see her try that if she were Prime Minister of England or President of a real country such as the US or France. Leaders of those countries would have a tough time sneaking around.

Why can't TS brave enough to come back to Thailand to stand trial and if found guilty, spend some time in cell... then YS don't have to worry about traveling overseas to see him for advice. Maybe they can meet at her office or at Parliament House. Who dare to question the PM or the Red Shirt Army...

Hard to believe that anyone would be 'glad' to take on floodwater.
