Lat Krabang estate 'vulnerable'

According to TPBS daily flood briefing, Dr Seri Supranit is concerned that the government's attempt to divert the water to the east will pose danger to Lat Krabang Industrial Estate.

In the next few days, Lat Krabang will see rising water from various canals overflowing banks.

From the experience of failed defence of various industrial estates over last month, Dr Seri recommended that the government must increase capacity to drain water from various canals to Khlong Dan to be drained off to the sea in Samut Prakan as fast as possible so as not to innundate the estate.

Lat Krabang estate is in BKK. All part of BKK should not be flood. If BKK get flooded, Thailand (&YS) will loose face.

It almost seems that the government WANTS the floods to destroy all industries in the country. It has been 2 to 3 weeks that the danger of floods has been haunting everyone. During this time, you could have safely built a 4 meter concrete wall all around the Ladkrabang Estate. And if you think that would be expensive, think about the thousands of millions that will be spent to build back the estate and the expenses to insurance companies. It is a total disgrace that the BEST efforts of the government started and ended with baseless talks and filling sand bags.

And this 100 million cubic meters of water would go ... where?

Lat Krabang at risk? Impossible! Why? Because on Tuesday Industry Minister Wannarat Channukul said that it will not be inundated "because the army has joined forces with manufacturers in the effort to protect factories in the area."

    Let's believe Khun Wannarat.
