D1 - welcome to the world of selective reporting. And it applies not only to news, but to politicians, law enforcement, protesters and more. Select what ever bit you find to be the most exciting or incriminating or controversial, then present it out of context as the true gospel.

The article is misleading. Some parts of Charoen krung have seen about 15cm but not for the whole days, just surrounding the high tides yesterday and this morning. I don't think that anywhere is 50 cm unless there's a gutter somewhere next to the river behind the road.

Many of the news reports and photos are sensational and not really accurate or helpful. The headline yesterday that Klong Prapa had been destroyed turned out not to be true. Same goes with the TV reporting. They find one or two roads with water and the reporter says the whole area is flooded.
