koolbreez (#9): "Why is she explaining the repair of a klong gate..." Curious logic from you - do you think it better that the gate remains damaged and maybe fails completely?

PM is decisive to sign the order giving command to open the water sluice gate, but unfortunately some government officials are purposely disobeying it and even made a challenge against PM's authority to be the overall commander of this flood relief crisis.

I'm sure she's trying her best and probably more competent than some career bureaucrats form the civil service, but as long as you step up to a job with zero political and national leadership experience you're going to be canon fodder for your critics. I feel sorry for her, I'm sure she's genuine in her efforts but such is the woes of a proxy Prime Minister.

Why is she explaining the repair of a klong gate that she personally wrote a directive to have it opened. Does everyone remember 2 days ago when the official in that area would not open that flood gate anymore(that she talks of repairing now)unless she authorized opening further it in writing, then she did just that?

Now she is saying it has to be fixed. That sure sounds like indicisive to me.

Is she truly going to Hawaii to be their on the 12th when the country needs her? Every leader in the world cancels any travel plan that would take them out of their country during a time of crisis like this. I guess in her mind the crisis will be over by then.

She is not indecisive, but it takes time for her brother to answer.

PM: "I can assure you that I am not ignorant, indifferent or indecisive …"
Yes, she is not indecisive, she just changes her mind frequently depending on which mob or advisor shouts loudest.

'The premier denied a report that she had discussed the flooding problems with her brother and former prime minister Thaksin Shinawata via the skype channel.'

If she did not she should have : 'Thaksin thinks; PTP does'.

aaah, just what we need, another ministry, more politicians and government officials feeding off our tax payers money... what we need is just one ministry that knows what it is doing.. perhaps..

When she speeks its almost impossible to under what she means, maybe she should get a thai translater to help thais to comprehend what she is talking about.
