Seri: Let airport stay submerged

GIS expert Dr Seri Supranit says he does not agree with the idea of draining water out of Don Mueang airport as it would not help the situation, better let the airport act as a water retention area for 10 million cubic metres right now, he said on TPBS TV.

He said even if the military could drain off Don Mueang and planes could land there, it would be useless as long as Vibhavadi Rd outside was still inundated and draining water out of the airport would make it even harder for people in Don Mueang who have been suffering from the flood for weeks now.

The airport should be drained when the water recedes from Vibhavadi.

Dr. Seri must live within the zones which are protected and not in Don Muang, Rangsit or Thonburi.

Dr Seris advice makes sense and sound a lot more sensible than Froc leader Ploprasop's assertion that people should listen to him because he is 176cm tall.
