According to live TV report, BMA has successfully plugged the leak at the gate caused by local residents at Khlong Samwa who wanted to see the water level down.
The sluice gate repair work is under protection by police, some comprising a score of female police with smiling faces [to placate angry residents?].
The police commander protecting the gate told TV reporter that he could now convince the local residents that destroying the gate would not reduce their flood level but it would jeopardise Bang Chan and Lat Krabang industrial estates which are the hub of food production including instant noodles.
