Water purifier sales soar

Retailers report that people are rushing to buy water purification machines due to fears of a drinking water shortage and low quality tap water during the flood.

Amway (Thailand) marketing director Ratana Channara said Wednesday sales of eSpring water purifiers had doubled to 10,000 machines a month from the previous 4,500 machines a month."Many customers are worried about the shortage of drinking water in the market and the quality of tap water," Mrs Ratana said.The company expected the sales of its water purifiers to exceed 1.9 billion baht target this...
