The main Rama II highway will not be entirely flooded but for only a few low locations of not very long length. Therefore, by placing a number of temporaly Bailey bridges on the existing surface of the highway, this main artery connecting to the south should be usable even with flood of over a meter. And the water will be able to flow through it too.
I'd made this proposal to a few officials at the ministry of transport, but I think their priority is to try to drain the heavily flooded highway 340 further north.

They announced on TV why Soi 69 is flooded. Guess why? ... Good old corruption by politicians and officials over the years to block the flow of the canal there. What a shocking surprize?
