Sorry Thai people your goverment is too busy filling up their bank accounts to worry about your lives. This will never ever end because no one cares. Just remember all of this when election time comes again. Is 500bt really worth your vote? You got floods, no pay raise, no protection of your lives. Thai people got nothing but words.

The drivers in these incidents usually survive because they are one of the few occupants of these death traps lucky enough to have use of a seatbelt. The lack of regulation to ensure all passengers have working seatbelts shows the government's ( both current and former) lack of regard for the safety of public transport passengers.

How many times have you seen vehicles traveling 20 km hr down a highway while everyone else is driving the limit ?How many times have you seen someone driving less than a meter off someones bumper at speeds over 100 km hr ? People driving without lights ,speeding ,drinking and driving ,falling asleep at the wheel .Stalled vehicles parked in the middle of the highway because the driver didnt have the common sense to pull off the road .All these things cause deadly accidents . They can all be avoided if people think when they drive and are mindful of those around them .

Another accident of "passenger van" and another lost of lives.

When is the Authorities going to do something about this? Passenger Van has become such a lucrative business that the way it has mushroomed is rather alarming. Some laws and rules need to come into effect to ensure that certain standards against risks of accidents are in place. For example - proper licensing for the operation of a passenger van. Permit is granted only if they pass certain requirements - like the condition of the vans, the characteristics of the driver. Have in place a tracking system to monitor their speed limit. Example - install a lighting system on top of the van such that when it exceeds certain limit a red light will flash.

Do something please before matters get out of control. No doubt passenger vans are of great help to commuters but it will definitely be nice to know that is is much safer to travel on passenger vans.
