PT eyes Bangkok governor vote

The Pheu Thai Party is gearing up for an election to choose a new Bangkok governor, possibly by the end of this year, if MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra steps down early, says deputy party spokesman Jirayu Huangsap.

Mr Jirayu said the party's assessment was that MR Sukhumbhand might resign before completing his four-year term in January next year.

MR Sukhumbhand of the Democrat Party was elected the 15th governor of Bangkok on Jan 11, 2009 by a large margin, winning 45% of the votes cast.

PT is dreaming or should I say Taksin is dreaming. The PT MP is dreaming, she really thinks she is in charge and doing something yet she is not capable of taking control of anything tied to this comical government. The people of Bangkok are intelligent. What more needs to be said.

The problem is PT/TRT always field weak candidates e.g. Sam the singer which results in them losing every governorship. Maybe this time they might get more serious about Bangkok

The dem supporters always say it all. What ever part a person supports, perhaps they should be more inclined to think what is acutaully good for Bangkok. We can all critisize one party or another. But what is the most important aspect is to try and ensure that the correct person is elected into the post.
Every party does not have clean hands here.

The early resignation hint must be connected to this weeks threat to fire him if he did not behave.

PT's (owner) really lusts for a one party state. IMO he dreams about imitating LKY in Singapore.

Why must MR Sukhumbhand Paribatra resign early. Is that written in his contract?
