Oil trader murdered in Narathiwat

An illegal oil vendor was killed in an ambush in Bacho district of Narathiwat early Friday morning, said Pol Col Issares Sanguannam, chief of Bacho police station.

The victim was identified as Vachira Chanthit, 36, a resident of Narathiwat’s Tak Bai district.

Witnesses told police that Vachira and his two friends traveled on a pickup truck to deliver smuggled oil from Tak Bai to a client’s house at Moo 5 in tambon Bareh Tai of Bacho district.
