The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index soared more than 20 points on Wednesday afternoon on the back of inflowing foreign direct investment, reports said.
Foreign investors had made net purchases of more than two billion baht during this morning trading session. Most foreign investors bought shares of the energy companies, substantially increasing these firms’ share prices.
The main index went up 14.76 points or 1.34% to close at 1,115.88 points at the end of trading session on Wednesday morning. The trade value was 19.27 billion baht, with 2.46 billion shares traded.
