Telecom plans nearly ready

The three draft telecom master plans are expected to be published in the Royal Gazette by the end of next month, the chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) said on Friday.

Thares Punsri, the NBTC chairman, made the comment after a public hearing that the regulatory body held at Muang Thong Thani to gather opinions and recommendations.

The draft plans cover spectrum management, telecommunications and broadcasting.

    Is this the same plan, which they have been trying to make for 11 or so years, but without success, because there are so many vested interest groups, which want a piece of the pie?
