BIKEME in most parts of the world it would be lucky to get 65% voter turnout. And many democracies are collations. Approvements ratings are about normal and have validity for the most part within the context of their political/social environment at any particular level of historical development.

Having said that, I am close to throwing in the towel with the PT and my own approvement rating would be about 10%.

"The most outstanding work of the government during the first six months in office was drug suppression, the majority, or 53.6 percent of the people polled, said."

    Like brother, like sister...!

People get the government they tolerate! Thai poll takers came through the same Thai school system that teaches the most important life lesson of all, nobody fails and ,by golly, we will lower our standards or help you cheat to appear to succeed. Seems this school of thought is applied to polls also.

    Bula - no.
I wrote that after 10 years living in Thailand and interacting with Thais on a daily basis and reading their newspapers and watching their TV.
I notice you haven't disputed my point. Regardless, IQ tests regularly show Thais below the curve. And the lack of common sense and forward planning is evident in every sector of society.

Disc 2 - All the questions you ask are answered on the Suan Dusit website.

Disc 8 - When I read disparaging comments like yours toward all Thai; I wonder if indeed you have ever spent time in Thailand other than sitting at the end of a bar and dreaming about the life you wish you had. Your comments are disgusting to Thai and likely embarrassing for Farang.

Just because the poll result was not what you wanted, you wrote "but most Thais are a bit stupid, generally ignorant and very greedy. I doubt anyone who's been here more than a couple of years would disagree with that?"

In most parts of the world, 6.5 out of 10 is a failing mark, ask any school kid.

6.58 is a new Suan Dusit Poll record for YS, with a clear 2/3rds majority. She had a 5.51 right after the election. AV never managed to get above 4.74 - at the very peak of his popularity.
