I guess the flooding over the weekend in Khon Kaen didn't help.

Very soon thailand will become like china where every river is contaminated, major rivers are dry to the bone. Drinking water will become severe problem for thailand in next 10 years, and no one is worried. Cut more trees built more dams, very soon thailand will have to import rice from vietnam.

The Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department don't seem to be living up to their name at all.
Reporting rather than preventing or mitigating... What a disaster.

It would be educating how much land in these provinces used to be dense forests 50 yeaers ago, and how much is left of it?
Anyone has figures or informations available on this subject for me and perhaps others wondering why we fall from flood to drought within month.
