MP Wichien resigns to run for PAO

Pheu Thai list MP Wichien Khaokham announced on Tuesday he will on Friday, May 11, resign his seat to run in the election for the Udon Thani Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO).

Mr Wichien made this announcement at a press conference at parliament in the presence of a number of Pheu Thai MPs led by Justice Minister Pracha Promnok.

The MPs said they had agreed to nominate Mr Wichien as a candidate for president of the Udon Thani PAO.He was well suited for the post and Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra had acknowledged this decision.

    This will be more like the Chang Rai rejection of the PT party candidate. It is a case of promises not being kept rather than flood ramifications.

    There will be no more denying the people's displeasure of the PT's unconcern for the people that voted for them after this loss. They made campaign promises that are not being kept, and the people can now show their resentment for this indifference on the government's part.

    He was confident there would no repeat of the party's Pathum Thani loss, where a Pheu Thai MP resigned to run for the PAO presidency but was rejected by the voters.

    Mr. Wichien is also a fortune teller too. This saves a lot of work for the election department because he has already announced the result.
