Pattani rubber tapper shot, wounded

A rubber tapper was injured in a shooting at a roadside small retail shop in Pattani’s Yaring district on Saturday morning, said Pol Col Mana Nakthang, chief of Yaring police station.

Police were told by witnesses that Paosi Kaelae,33, was sitting in front of the shop on Pattani-Narathiwat road at Moo 3 in tambon Tanyongdalor of Yaring when a gunman riding on pillion of a motorcycle fired opened fire on him. The assailants then fled.

Paosi took one bullet in his right arm and taken to Yaring hospital.
