@Charlies. 'Accept the majority vote....' NO. They won the most seats, not a majority vote. More people did NOT vote for him and it was about him, 'Thaksin Thinks;PTP acts' or as we are finding out as 1 pundit put it 'Thaksin thinks; Thailand sinks'.

If majority thais don't like Thaksin then there is no way his sister would become the prime minister of ThaiLand. Accept the majority vote and let PT or the government lead this country to the next level.

If some of you guys thinks that Mr. Thaksin is that bad and evil, can you explain why a big majority of Thai peoples vote for him? I consider him Robin Hood of Thailand take from the rich and give to the others who have less than 5000 baht a month to survive.

Thailand is a immature democracy, more than half their population doesnt even have a college degree. Even those considered 'educated' likes to listern to other people opinion rather formulating their own. So if their friends say something very passionate they will likely believe it rather then to look for other information. We all heard of Piped Piper and his rats, the lemmings theory, 3 blind men and the elephant etc it all point to sad fact most people in thailand absorb the colour they are thrown into. Are there only one red colour, one yellow colour? We know there are chilli red, fire engine red, ferrari red and sunset red, they all tell different story. Just as they are many who like Thaksin then those who dislike but majority doesnt care if he comes back or not.

Boozie people are unemployed living on other people tax payer money (pensions, unemployment beneifts), they do not need to work so they do not need to get up 7am, they can drink all night till sunrise because they have all the time in the world. Ex-pats who have been fired couldnt go back to home country because there is no job for them, thailand living expense is among the lowest, if thailand too expensive go to cambodia. Thailand maybe messy right now but so is Europe and US and some countries drugs are sold in 7 eleven, guns and bullets are free. Thais politics are best understand by thais, if they dont know who is telling the truth then that's their luck. Thailand has played host to many unsavoury and insane people but that's their mistake, other countries may not be so kind to some commendators on this blog.

If Thaksin is guilty of not paying tax, then there are another million of them walking the street of bangkok. There are also alot of foreigners flee their country taxman to hide in thailand, so no one can call themselves tax obedient. There are some countries that doesnt tax investment income like British Virgin Island, Switerzerland, Cayman Island etc, so are those residents criminal too? SET has rules that doesnt tax profits from stock sales, alot of foreigners buy and sell stock on SET are not paying any tax, so they took is breaking the law according to views on this blog. Keep harping on something you dont understand doesnt make you a smart person.

@wantmyony Way to paint the entire expat population with one brush, perhaps you should draw your opinions of foreigners from places other than Kao San Road? Also, instead of fighting corruption Thais should just flee the country as opposed to trying to change it? I thought Thailand was a democracy...

@wantmyony. I resent your comment : I do not drink. Do you think the boozy expats would bother to post or even read the newspapers ? Highly unlikely.
