The bodies of two Canadian sisters have been found in a hotel room on the popular southern tourist island of Phi Phi, police said on Saturday.

Sadly, whatever was the cause of death will most likely not definitely or believably be determined. Like the infamous Downtown Inn of Chiangmai where 5 people died in the rooms in a period of 16 days, there will be no conclusive evidence and, of course, no accountability or responsibility. The Sarah Carter family of New Zealand never received a satisfactory explanation. Face saving trumps all. The hotel has since been demolished because the deaths ruined its business.

A rash would not be 'mysterious' to a trained medical professional. I suspect contaminated food, possibly seafood. I know seafood was plentiful there years ago. Police should investigate where the ladies went that night, specifically where they ate.

Sounds like they (Both Sisters) made some bad friends that resulted in this crime.
Remember that Young U.S. Female (Mrs. Hollaway) in Aruba??
I hope the Security staff has some Video survielance evidence to assist in this investigation.

Bad food or bad drugs. The Canadian news and other investigators will find the truth. Don't expect to sweep this one under the carpet. You make my mother worry about me when I come to Thailand.

Sounds like Chiang Mai hotel all over again, it cannot be natural causes, although Thailand would like it to be.

    RIP.

But breaking news?! More than 24 hours after these poor women were found dead, and many hours after other Thai media announced the news? Those other sources are more detailed and do elaborate on the suspected cause of death (poisoning).
