Warning: Heavy rain, flash floods

The Meteorological Department on Tuesday morning issued a warning for people in the Northeast and the East to prepare for widespread scattered rain with heavy falls in some areas and the danger of floods today and over the next few days.
The department said the southwest monsoon is prevailing over Thailand, the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea. This will cause widespread scattered rain on the Northeast and the East.
People living near hillsides and waterways in Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Amnatcharoen, Ubon Ratchathani, Chanthaburi and Trat should prepare for heavy rain and possible flash flooding, it warned.
