Poll: Delay or stop controversial bills

A majority of people want a delay or cancellation of the charter amendment bill and the reconciliation bills to ensure the government survives, a Suan Dusit Poll revealed on Sunday.

The poll was conducted between June 25-30 on 2,562 people throughout the country to sound out their opinions on Thai politics.

Concerning the charter amendment bill, 45.23 per cent said it should be delayed for more study to make sure it is not intended to benefit any particular person or group of people so as to reduce conflict, 28.31 per cent said it should be cancelled since no amendments are really needed, and 26.46 per cent said the amendment process should continue because the charter currently in use is not acceptable.

Disc1 Abbub. The majority elected government must work (and this may surprise you) for the majority of people.
And this poll shows people DON'T want the Whitewash Bills because they don't help every day people. Thaksin will have to wait a little longer for his loot.

    A) More than 75% think the bills should be delayed or cancelled

    B) Only 12% think the Gov will survive if it continues pushing the bills.

Mr T has gone into silent mode again. Which result triggered his change. A or B. Only "B" -right

Bringing Thaksin back will just start new protests and set a bad precedent that when ever you cant get away with breaking the law then just change to law or constitution to get away with it .Corruption is bad enough but changing the law to make it legal is ridiculous .

Thai democracy: The majority-elected government must bend to the will of the minority, because the latter have the wealthy and powerful and generals behind them. Otherwise the elected government is in danger of being brought down.

I am against the reconciliation bill but also against minority intimidation of the democratic process.
