PT: No cabinet reshuffle on Aug 1

The ruling Pheu Thai Party has denied a report that there will be a cabinet reshuffle before Aug 1 because of pressure from members of the so-call House No.111, the former Thai Rak Thai executives whose five-year political ban has expired.

Prompong Nopparit, the party's spokesman, said the report was merely speculation by the media as the government is about to mark one year in office.

So far there had been no signs of a cabinet reshuffle from Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

'So far there had been no signs of a cabinet reshuffle from Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra'.

What would she know ? When will these people get real and admit that Thaksin runs the show ? Bless him; at least Chalerm did.

browser (#1): I think you follow these lakorn-type sagas closely enough to recognise that the "anticipation" (breathless or otherwise) has been largely in the media & among parties outside the govt - with barely a week going by that hasn't had someone asking current ministers to react to yet more onlookers' speculation.

#3, are you sure that the Thai people would vote for criminals. Now, in this forum, it becomes natural for some posters to insult it reason. Very pity but, as said a famous man: forgive them, for they know not what they do.

All the recent trips being made by party officials to visit Thaksin must not have anything to do with the reshuffle, even though the rumors about the recent trips do reflect the same pattern as the last reshuffle.

The 111 have been running things from behind the scenes all along - just like Thaksin has been from Dubai. If you don't like Peua Thai now, you certainly won't like it when the 1st string criminals settle back into their old positions again. Nothing has changed except the rhetoric UDD feeds its impressionable followers.

If there still is a party left ...

Well, it's nice to know that Mr. Prompong and Pheu Thai aren't taking the tape of Mr. Somsak seriously. After all, in what way does it possibly affect them what the image of the party is ? Ever since the approach of May and after it, there has been a breathless anticipation within Pheu Thai of the former Thai Rak Thai executives returning to the fold. What has exactly changed since then ? The anticipation seems no longer breathless !
