Ranger killed, villager hurt at wedding

A para-military ranger was shot dead and a villager seriously wounded while attending a wedding party in Rangae district of Pattani province on Sunday.

The incident occurred at about 11am in front of more than 100 guests in broad daylight.

Police said while Sgt-Maj Manase Yuso, attached to the 46th Rangers Company, was sitting at a table with his wife and other villagers at the wedding party at Ban Bongo in Rangae district, a man walked up to him and fired one shot to his head at a point-blank range with a 9mm handgun, killing him instantly.

Anyone ever think of security and guest lists for large gatherings in the south?

If you know anything about the matter, you would know that the more security the more attention, therefore the bigger the attack. terrorists are after attention, and have no care for anything else.
