So it is a rubber plantation with some marijuana or a marijuana with some rubber, the first case would be a whole different story.

I think what Burma is doing is called following law .It has become rare in Thailand these days as we try to rewrite our Constitution to pardon crime but thats what it is .I dont think they will rent their country to us .

Encroaching into Myanmar's land means trespassing with intent, not withstanding the cultivation of rubber plantation, the Thais are at fault, let the Myanmar authorities to deal with them, they ask for it, right ?

That's what I like about reporting in Thailand. You seldom get the whole story. This one keeps changing by the day and there will probably be several more versions before anything like fact comes out.

Well if someone entered illegally in Thailand and started farming or whatever then I think they should be prosecuted, and Myanmar should do the same....unfortunately the people behind the whole mess will walk free and continue their shady business somewhere else .

So if Burmese nationals found illegally encroaching on Thai soil were arrested by Thai authorities because they were armed and growing illegal drug crops could expect an early release to be negotiated with Burma?

    Yes or No ?
