Warrants sought for 3 Dem MPs

Police will tomorrow seek arrest warrants for three Democrat MPs who are hosts of the Sai Lor Fah (lightening rod) talk show on Blue Sky TV, in a defamation case brought against them by Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

The three are Sirichok Sopha, Thepthai Senapong and Chavanond Intarakomalyasut, who is also the Democrat Party's spokesman.

Ms Yingluck has accused them of defaming her in connection with her private meeting at a Bangkok hotel. On Feb 23, her legal team lodged three complaints with Lumpini police against the MPs relating to their comments concerning her visit to the Four Seasons Hotel on Feb 8.

The question still remains, what did she do at the hotel when she was supposed to attend a house session?

Over the decades, Thai politics is becoming more transparent.
It still has some way to go.

The Sai Lor Fah (lightening rod) talk show on Blue Sky TV is the one that used a large double lighting rod Nazi SS symbol in the background. They accused YS of having intimate relations with another man in the hotel.

Well done by the police to curb these three people who deliberately evade legal responsibilities. The court will teach them a good lesson.

D7 Whatajoke , what the red did or did not do is rather irrelevant in this case as it is the PM that is suing, stick with the story.

It is probably safe to assume that Yingluck has nothing to do with this - as she as nothing to do with anything else. In the days that lead up to the drama of the " unity " bill on August 1, Pheu Thai are applying as much intimidation as they can, especially as one of the MPs - Mr. Thepthai - has been especially outspoken about the tactics revolving this bill. Interestingly, Mr. Korkaew's case will be heard on August 9 - after he has immunity. This case though is using the same argument against the Democrat MPs. And from that, it is abundantly clear who's pulling the strings. It's good that Pheu Thai have found the distraction they needed to take the public's mind off of this bill. The sad thing is - it just focuses more attention on it.

I wonder if Yingluck took advice from her older brother on this one? Now, it will be interesting to see how this case proceeds and is treated in comparison to those against PT MPs, will these Democrats violate bail terms, hide behind immunity, hustle up some long expired draft dodging case against her, show up at the court hearing with an army of PAD supporters to intimidate the judges.
D6 Khunbj, you have a short memory, the PT/Reds were far more dirty in discrediting Abhisit and keeping him distracted, I don't condone a repeat but let's hear the charges and defence, afterall what exactly was the PM doing that day at the Four Seasons that she couldn't give an acceptable answer to.

I have been waiting for this to happen, the MP's will have a hard time to defend themselves because they will not be able to use the usual excuses, like being political enemies, tit for tat etc, because in all appearances our PM behaves in a very graceful manner and does not engage in degrading political opponents, something that her opponents could certainly learn from and now will learn the hard way.

Disc 3 - Please compile a list of those 'important duties' that Peua Thai need to do.
    Then send it to Yingluck.
Her cabinet seem to be focussing only on issues that benefit the Shinawatra clan.

The democrat party sincerely thanks the police for making a free advertising for Blue Sky TV.
He thanks also the government and the Phua Thai party for watching diligently his programs TV.
