Thai students win Olympiad medals

Three Thai students have captured three medals (one gold, one silver and one bronze) at the 44th International Chemistry Olympiad, held in Washington DC from July 21 to 30.

Institute for the Promotion of Teaching Science and Technology (IPST) director Pornphan Verapreyagura said on Monday that the gold medal was won by That Yusunthon, an 11th grader from Suankularb Wittayalai school.

"I don't read all the time during the day. When I'm tired, I'll take a rest and sing songs, play games, talk to my parents and friends," the gold medallist said. "If we are disciplined, we can be successful."
