Business 'still has confidence'

A survey by Krung Thai Bank conducted over the second quarter of the year showed that the private sector still has confidence in the country’s economic fundamentals.
The bank’s senior executive vice president for risk management, Sompit Charoenkiatkul, said on Tuesday that the strong confidence of the business sector was boosted by rising domestic consumption.
The Krung Thai Business Index (KTBI), incorporating opinions from all business sectors, over the second quarter stood at 55.58. By remaining above 50 it showed the high confidence of the business sector.
