Commerce: 2012 inflation rate <3%

Permanent secretary for commerce Yanyong Puangraj is confident his ministry will be able to keep inflation below three per cent this year.

The inflation rate over the first seven months of the year stood at 2.92 per cent, he said. He was confident it would stay around this level.

Mr Yanyong said his ministry would not review its export growth target for the year, previously set at 15 per cent.

"... would not review its export growth target for the year, previously set at 15 per cent ..." ... we only have to figure out, what to export to where ... the target is set!!!

Of course the Puea Thaksin government will not review its export growth target for the year since that will yet again expose the disasterous result of their failed policies.

I hope these are not the same people who were adamant that exports would grow to 15% this year!

I think the Commerce Minister better check his figures. Food alone exceeded 15% in the first 6 month of this year.
