Hole in Asoke intersection road

A crater was found in busy Sukhumvit Road on Sunday morning, disrupting traffic and prompting a quick repair job, police said.

Police were called to inspect the hole, one metre wide, one metre long and 1.5 metres deep, in the middle of the Asoke intersection at 10am and initially put traffic cones around it to prevent an accident, Pol Lt Col Peeranarit Pornpeeraparn, traffic inspector at Thonglor police station, said.

What I don't understand is that they repaired roads (eg Phuthamonthon sai 4 and continuaation) that didn't need repairing and leave potholed roads as they are or just badly keep filling the same potholes for years.

It must have been repaired quickly, since I was there early this afternoon and there was no sign of a hole. Somebody is on the ball.
