Disc16 - 24 hours later and still no five key policies that worked?

OK, make it THREE policies and I'll give you 1000 baht. That should sweeten the deal.

Ah, yes. It's a neat little trick isn't it? Economically unsustainable policies which create short-term "wealth effects" while damaging the long-term solvency of a nation are always popular

A policy to give every man woman and child a new iPad would likely be even more popular.

The problem with polls (and soon to be failed democracies) is that they forget to ask about financial viability.

But who cares? Life is good. Party on Thailand.

'The prime minister scored 6.95 for her attention to work and 6.41 out of 10 for her work performance'

How does anyone on the street qualify to make this objective assessment?

Disc14 - Vague and unsubstantiated. Be specific - WHICH areas have they done well in?
I challenge you to name five key areas in which Peua Thai policies were effective.

D11 Dondumm - Those polls are THAI political grades and comparing them to school grades is more equitable than comparing them to international political grading standards. If you want to compare Ms Merkel with Khun Yingluck, then you best get some outside ratings firm to do it, a local poll doesn't come close to providing a comparative rating.

The government has done fairly good for the first year. Remember the floods that hit them as they took over and kept them occupied. They have had their good points and their bad but overall they have made progress in several key areas. I sense they have settled down now and will only improve as the next year comes around. Some issues that are beyond any governments control will be simply bad luck and bad timing. Give credit where they succeed and progress and critisim where they fail. The voters will decide fate in the next election.

Neither are lying, each is expressing their opinion. Fortunately, in a democracy the only opinion that matters is that of the public who have a vote, the opinion of opposition politicians is unimportant.

A few days ago dems graded the PT government "fail". Now the poll survey said the people give the government a "pass". Who's lying...the dems or the survey?

These aren't school grades they are political grades and in the political world getting 6.9 is outstanding. In Germany Angela Merkel's rating is about 6.6 and the Wall Street Journal recently described her popularity as "Going through the roof".

I just love news like this. A poll conducted in the north of Thailand at different goverment offices and the PT passed. Im going to die laughing.
