Can anybody here tell me something about the legal situation.....if a member of parliament knows about the place where a "fugitive" is hiding, is it his duty to report it to the relevant authority (police or what ever) as a part of his position as part of the legislative system of the country, or not...?
Thank you in advance for any answer.....at least I would expect a yes.......

Perhaps someone needs to inform the FM - he doesn't seem to be aware of this.

Ope - how do you know what Thaksin's motives are? He has never shown any ethical/humanitarian traits before. Simply greed and a desire for absolute power.
Android - his enemies seem to be humiliating him. Didn't he get chased away by 1000 old ladies in yellow shirts in LA last week? And if he is so victorious, why isn't he in Thailand? I'll tell you, since you never answer questions - because his enemies are still much more powerful than he is.

Ope: Your comment"Mr Thaksin has extremely positive motives that is beyond our questioning. He promotes confidence and gains respect wherever he goes. His utmost goal is unity and prosperity for Thailand But please, continue to decry and libel him, you're doing more damage to your inner self than you are to him. Please remember his adversaries are a minority."
Beyond our questioning? I assume that implies that we don't know what is really on the agenda. Unity and prosperity? Maybe so but for a lot of folks who are outside of his moves all that is really recognizable is an attitude of "look at me". Do you really think that the visit with Myanmar is only to discuss logistics. You certainly have a priviliege to express an opinion just as others have to ezpress theirs.

Certainly Taksin is in Mynmar for business which will benefit Thailand. What harm can Taksin in exile do except for some imaginary threats cooked up by paranoid adversaries. Or perhaps keeping Taksin as the bogey man will help secure the support of the opposition.
