TAO member shot in Pattani

A member of a tambon administration organisation (TAO) was shot and seriously wounded in Sai Buri district of Pattani province on Thursday.

Pol Col Aziz Umayee, the Sai Buri police chief, said that Ayu Buraheng, 52, a member of Paseyao TAO in Sai Buri district, was travelling on a motorcycle on a road to tambon Paseyao and was shot with a .38 pistol by a man who followed him on another motorcycle.

Mr Ayu was hit in the neck and seriously wounded. He was admitted to Sai Buri Hospital.
