Obama: Romney has no new ideas

US President Barack Obama was in the blue-collar heartland of Ohio Monday, seeking to energize his labor union base after accusing Republican foe Mitt Romney of failing to offer "a single new idea" to solve the country's problems.

US President Barack Obama's campaign pins are sold in Charlotte, North Carolina, September 2, 2012. Obama accused Republican foe Mitt Romney of failing to offer "a single new idea" and of being a relic of the last century as he revved up a pre-convention tour.

The motorcade of the president, who arrived in Toledo Sunday, was greeted by pockets of friendly well-wishers, who carried signs "New citizen for Obama," "Toledo built Jeep. Thank you, President Obama," "Obama 2012" and "4 more years."

Americans, of which I suspect includes some of these commenters, can't seem to face up to the fact that their grand American dream is in decline, it's still a good one but the era of always being better off (at the expense of credit cards and others in the world) is over. Fact is, by the end of the costly Bush era the country was in such trouble that no single or even double presidential term from either Democrats or Republicans is going to set that right in a hurry, the voter is selfish, he demands to know what the president has done for him, rather than what he can do to shift his attitude. Obama might not have risen to this enormous challenge quite as we hoped but I loathe the idea that Republicans should benefit from it, when they caused the whole mess in the first place.

Just wait too see what will happen if Romney wins in November.

Obama has never had any ideas about how to address America's problems except to spend and spend and spend, and grow government, promote expanding welfare programs, promote and reward illegal immigration.
If he has any accomplishments at all in the past 4 years they are certainly far far short of his campaign promises of 08. He is a total failure as president.
