NAKHON PATHOM – A civil servant has filed a complaint with police accusing her boss of assaulting her at work, slapping her face and pulling her hair.

Rawipha Phuengporn, head of the finance department of Taiyawas Tambon Administrative Organisation in Nakhon Chaisi district, complained to police that her boss, TAO chief Somdet Suksomkit, attacked her on Sept 12, reports said.

She said she informed him that his 150,000 baht proposal for landscape renovation in the area had been rejected because he planned to hire a private contractor to do the job.

Typical coward Thai boss. He's lucky that wasn't my Thai wife or he would have more than a limp. Should be fired tomorrow and placed in jail. Where is the justice in this country?

This office should now check into other contracts this chap has approved in the past, bet they find a lot of back handed/under the table deals. Did you notice just how clean this desk was not much of a paper trail there.

Is it just me who thinks this idiot is intoxicated? The way he stumbles through that office.
About women in leadership positions. A vast majority of students in the top universities are young women. They're going to be the bosses, at least that's what I hope. At the Matthayom E.P. School where I work, the girls outperform the boys on every subject, except sports (and acting silly).

He has a "job" with absolutely nothing on his desk.. only sits around all day from his upper level seat and then goes berserk when he doesn't get his way. He should be fired and should be tried for assault.

Based on his desktop he looks pretty useful. Based on the way he is stumbling around I wonder how sober. What's that line in Animal House "drunk and stupid is no way to go through life son". Courageous act by her, I wish her luck. She will need it video evidence not withstanding.

What is it that is always told to foreigners? They always need to stay calm? Thainess is about remaining calm? Really? So does it mean that foreigners need to behave more Thai as Thai do?

There are enough witnesses for his wrong doing, no video is necessary but I guess if there was no video no one would speak up again this crazy guy!
