Industrial estates prepare for storm

The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEA) has been ordered to prepare for possible flash floods around factory zones as tropical storm Gaemi moves through Thailand over the next few days.

Industry Minister Pongsvas Svasti said on Thursday the storm could  bring very heavy rain to many regions of the country and there could be a large volume of run-off flowing to Bangkok and nearby provinces.

All industrial estates in western and eastern parts of Bangkok were directed to closely follow the water situation. Officials must be deployed around the clock to monitor the water level outside and around their flood prevention walls, he added.

What they are saying is that the authorities have done very little to prevent flooding the industrial estates have.Water levels in the conal by us is rising although we have not seen rain for 36 hrs.
If the information from NASA is correct the storm will be Sunday Monday.the times given by Thailand could be out by 24 to 48 hrs.
