No made-in-Hong Kong cabinet shuffle

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who is now in Hong Kong, has had nothing to do with the expected changes to the cabinet line up, Thaksin’s legal advisor Noppadon Pattama said on Friday.

Mr Nappadon was responding to claims by the Democrats that Thaksin will make all the decisions on the cabinet reshuffle and that this was evidenced by the large number of MPs and politicians who had flown to visit him in Hong Kong.

Mr Noppadon said it was not unusual for people who love and respect the former prime minister to visit him when he is in a nearby country. Thaksin’s Hong Kong visit was not liked with cabinet changes as claimed. If Thaksin  wanted to interfere he could do it from anywhere.

That's a relief. Now the Thai taxpayer can save on 30 airfares for Pheu Thaksin gang members who were planning to travel to HK for the very purpose of being anointed by the Don.
