Thaksin praises Yongyuth

Former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has written a letter to former Pheu Thai Party leader Yongyuth Wichaidit, praising him for his sacrifice for the party.

Mr Yongyuth resigned last month as deputy prime minister, interior minister, an MP and Pheu Thai leader to take responsibility for his role in the decade-old Alpine Golf Course case.

Thaksin's son, Panthongtae, offered details on his Facebook page on Saturday of the hand-written letter his father had written. It said Mr Yongyuth had shown a political spirit rarely seen in current Thai political society.

Noticeable absence of the usual apologists here today.

Hard to defend the indefensible, but they do keep trying. Anything for a buck.

Please allow me to decipher these messages. A rare hand-written letter to YW suggests of a hidden message within a message; maybe a Swiss bank account codes. His “sacrifice for the party” (resignation) is really to take the heat off the PM, thus earning his rare praise. Notice that his son’s sudden appearance in this scenario suggest a possible role in politic in the very near future. “Fragile” and “Justice” are coded messages to his people to be wary of the “People from the judicial” and “Fragile political enemies” as his PT government is now engaged in numerous mega projects beneficial to the people (PT people). “Thai people to be strong and stand up on their own feet” suggest that his “thicker than blood” people are still very dependent on the support of the R-Shirt and some “fair weather friends”.

    'Thaksin praises Yongyuth'.

For what ? Saving the Shinawatra clan ? Who bought the land after it was developed ? Buying Temple land is the lowest of the low and shows how little (if any) morality the Shinawatras' have.

Seems all of them and their 'friends' are completely immoral (evil ?) and greedy beyond belief.

Sir, Mr. Thaksin, it is painful for most to see the level of denial you appear to be in. A change from the regular yes-men surrounding you may help you to see what you deep inside know already. Frank Herbert once wrote "“How often it is that the angry man rages denial of what his inner self is telling him.” Letting things go, its much better for your soul.

The oldest trick in the power-corrupters book! Even those with absolute power still claim a phantom enemy to justify their immoral actions and self-centered behavior. Thaksins claiming that “the Pheu Thai Party was currently "fragile", receiving no justice and remained in a position where it had to be very careful about the ongoing political situation”, is pure bull pucky. The Shinawatras are in charge; do something for the country; not only the family, your cronies or the party but all of Thailand and its people.

I wonder why Thaksin even mentions the Yongyuth’s sacrifice. I always though all Thai politicians, and especially the MPs from PT, are constantly making sacrifices to help Thailand and all Thais - or not?
