Rehn: Worst over for euro crisis

BANGKOK - The worst is over for the euro debt crisis, the Vice President of the European Commission, Olli Rehn, said on Monday.

Mr Rehn, also the commissioner for economic and monetary affairs and the euro, told the Bangkok Post that the various measures taken over the past several months had helped arrest the crisis.

"There is no likelihood of any country leaving the eurozone," he said on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Finance Ministers' Meeting in Bangkok.

Just another statement to calm the public. Drives the Gold price down so central banks can refill their safes with the only true money - at bargain prices.
And a statement that "proofs" how well they work in the EU.

Rehn: There is no likelihood of any country leaving the eurozone. Bloomberg today: Swedish Finance Minister Anders Borg said Greece may quit the common currency within the next six months.

Just another cheer talk for the Euro to keep the momentum ... completely normal with these confidence boosting remarks for their respective economies be it national or international, we get them all the time from Bernanke, Draghi and from all other economy ministers including our own Kittirat.

Thai officials are not the only ones who'll tell a white lie. The unelected EU officials do it all the time. The Euro is doomed and at the first given chance,the hard-working Germans will understandably leave it.

The picture looks more like Mr. Kittiratt telling Rehn a story while the latter has a hard time to believe it.
