Cambodia to deport Chinese woman

A Cambodian court Tuesday ordered the deportation of a Chinese factory manager who nearly caused a riot among workers by ripping up photographs of recently deceased former king Norodom Sihanouk.

Wang Zia Chao, 43, was also handed a one-year suspended sentence for ``intentionally damaging the photos'' of the revered royal and told to pay a two million riel ($500) fine, judge Seng Neang at Phnom Penh municipal court said.

Wang expressed remorse for destroying the two photos on Monday after becoming annoyed that staff at the Top World garment factory had interrupted work to look at them, but she told the court she was unaware who was depicted in the images.

she was simply throwing a typical puyai tantrum because the people had stopped working, stop trying to make up things about it. There is no big story behind the incident, kinda like the puyai slapping the worker at the airport in BKK not too long ago.

Wonder what she wanted to achieve by destroying the two photos.

She should be asking herself what would happen to her if she did the same to the pictures of Chairman Mao?

She might tell the truth. I know the Thai royal by photos only the King,The queen, and 4prince& princeses, the rest of royal members I am lost. Saw them on the poster thru out Thailand. Don't know who they are if their photos are not up on pedestals. I will be in the same state of ignorance. Shoud give her benifit of doubt

'she told the court she was unaware who was depicted in the images.'
I don't believe that for one second. His pictures are everywhere in Cambodia and the announcement of his death has been widely televised. She's just trying to save face by lying, which is so typical in Asia. It would be nice to see people own up to their 'mistakes' and confess the truth for a change, but I certainly am not betting on it.

I thought Cambodia would deport her and she really deserves it!
