Senate accepts anti-terrorism bills

The Senate on Tuesday passed in the first reading two crucial bills aimed at combating money laundering and terrorism.
The Anti-money Laundering Bill and the Bill on the Prevention and Suppression of Financial Support for Terrorism were each passed with a vote of 118-0 with two abstentions.
A committee will be set up in seven days to scrutinise the two bills.
