Panties thief admits to rape, murder

CHIANG MAI – Police have arrested the suspect in the rape and murder of a university student in her home on Monday night, reports said.

Police said the body of Prachayaporn (surname withheld), 28, was found naked with her hands tied and several stab wounds to her body. She died from strangulation, police said.

According to police, her killer entered through an air duct that leads to the ceiling of her one-storey house. The rapist also stole an iPhone, a notebook computer, wallet, a gold chain and a diamond ring.

Robins: You are correct in your summation of the crime as "insanity", it's almost too horrific to think about. The callousness in which this pervert did this leaves one dumbstruck. I do believe however, that Dao Dic 1 has a point. A healthy fear of the law could ward off these type of crimes from the sick and twisted men that do it.

A healthy fear of repercussions, from a well organised police force, judiciary, prison ward and staff - the shame is, there is none and sadly these types of crime are committed, unfortunately, the world over. IMHO

Sounds like some great police work, this animal should never be free again. Sorry Dao, but considering the conditions in Thai prisons and the insanity of this crime, fear is unlikely to make a difference.
