Man cuts face in act of remorse (pix)

A man has posted on Facebook pictures of his face showing a large cut on his cheek, which he says he did to himself to show remorse for making his girlfriend cry, and has drawn mixed reactions from netizens.
The man also posted a verse from a Thai song on his Facebook page, "Slitting the arm won't do any good. It will only hurt the heart further. The more I do it, the more it hurts."
After the pictures spread in the internet, many netizens criticised the man for cutting his left cheek as an act of contrition for upsetting his girlfriend. They said he should know better, and that his father and mother would feel sorry for his action.
