'Hitman' sought in Peera murder

SONGKHLA: Police have issued an arrest warrant for another suspect in the Nov 7 murder of Songkhla municipality mayor Peera Tantiserane.

Police said they were looking for Niwat Ratkaew, 46, from Songkhla’s Ranot district, in order to question him about the muder of the mayor, Pol Gen Rachata Yensuangg, Adviser level 10, said on Tuesday. Two hitmen were allegedly involved in the killing.

He said police were collecting information about Mr Niwat, and urged the suspect to turn himself, saying he would be treated with justice.
