Poll: Thais excited by Obama’s visit

Many people feel honoured and proud that US President Barack Obama will make his first visit to Thailand this weekend,according to Suan Dusit Poll.

The pollster surveyed 1,274 people nationwide for their views from Nov 12-16 and released the result on Friday.

Suan Dusit reported 45.20% were excited and honoured by the US President’s visit scheduled for Nov 18-19, while 26.55% said the visit would further strengthen the ties between Thailand and the US and 14.69% of the respondents believed the visit will help boost the economy.
