At least 100 Thai women have been cheated out of a total of more than 100 million baht through Facebook accounts run by conmen offering marriage and wanting explicit photographs they then used to blackmail them, police said on Friday.

Two Trang women filed a complaint with the police, reporting that they have been scammed into transferring almost 100,000 baht to a gang of blackmailers. There were many other victims who were too ashamed to come forward, they told police.

The gang members posed as attractive looking foreign males and approached them via their Facebook accounts. The first woman said a man named "Wyne Smith" had promised to marry her, while another woman had unknowingly sent "compromising" photos of herself to "Alex Chris".

You foreign men, all of you are accusing Thai ladies of scamming, bad life and all kind of accusation.
you that knows the right things have you thought them? or are you going to Thailand to exercise your wayward life and prostitution.
Thai ladies are bad but foreign men are fools of sex. ignorant of truth.... every human are lost of pleasure in this world but behold the reward for everyone according to his work is near. i wonder who you will accuse before God that he makes you forget his name.

What's your problem? You can't get a date? Resentful that many Thai women now want a Farang instead of a Thai boyfriend? Maybe you should try to find out why that is, instead of making up lies about young Farang men.

Funny to see the bitter Thai guys here warning Thai women about farang men, that one is always good for a laugh. BTW, just because the people perpetrating this scam said they were farangs and posted images of farangs doesn't mean they actually were farangs, they could be Thai for all we know.

My advice to Thai's women ! If you are pretty look, you are happy with too many young and wealthy men in Thailand or abroad without paying a cent to live with him. If you think your look is not perfect, don't buy the "ticket to heaven" from the farrang "handsome and young men" they can't give you a peaceful life in US or in EU-countries. Most of you will be abused by some way. Almost Farrang men below 50 yrs live or travel often to Thailand are poor and unemployment that is why they have time to travel but they live in inferior condition hostels in Thailand. Don't be friend with them

Education is what is required, instead of opening red De-mock-crazy schools - let us educate these Thai ladies about the dangers of the internet. And honestly, how can you pay to get married to someone. It should be the other way round :)
